Are you living and working as an affiliate in NY? Are you selling and promoting home and office furniture items? Well you should!

Incase you missed the latest news, NY wants to impose a NY sales tax on shipped items to New York residents via affiliate marketers promoting online merchants. Now what kind of smart idea is that (well perhaps for the pocket of the person or persons who thought of it, I’m sure )

We don’t like it and glad Amazon is fighting back. I predict Amazon will get their way and the affiliates and merchant will win, otherwise be ready for a big backlash from many merchants, customers and affiliates that will definitely voice their concerns on this in the next few months. There are already a few merchants that panicked such as Overstock which terminated all affiliates since day one. I think it was a bad move on their part as they do not realize affiliates and their other partners are not only perhaps Overstock customers too, but they cut right into affiliates and partners income stream too quick and now those once loyal partners may be telling 10 friends ’stay away from the O’

As an OPM we have been advising and consulting to a few clients to find ways to keep their affiliate partners via tracking, the yahoo cart, scripts or through the networks to find who their affiliate partners are and not to terminate affiliates, cause if you terminate an affiliate just because you don’t want the headache, you might not get them back later.

As for EverythingFurniture stores, at this time all new or existing New York affiliates are welcomed to partner with us and promote all our furniture stores and items via datafeeds, coupons, blogs, etc, as you will not be terminated or removed from our programs.

Your Blog Could Use A Coupon Or Two

This is mostly meant for affiliates and bloggers but if you are a merchant reading this, get an idea of what I mean below.

Most coupon sites already know that unless they have a coupon, a link that looks like a coupon, or some type of coupon links or codes for the merchants they are promoting they will NOT get any traffic and NO sales. Unless ofcourse they have those coupons and coupons codes available for their customers.

I won’t get into all the coupon and coupon site details, cause coupon affiliates will kill me for revealing secrets, but if you have a blog you should have some coupons or coupon type links too either on the page that talks about furniture (or other category) or even on the side blogroll or couponroll if you want to call it that. Look below at the ones I created and entered into the deals database for shareasale.com. I created 19 of them that can be entred into any site, blog or coupon site. This is also nothing new for me as I have been successfully creating these types of coupon links for EverythingFurniture for over three years now since I started managing the programs and they do get allot of traffic and sales. ( As a merchant you should have atleast 4-6 of these types of coupon type links, even if you do not want to deal with setting up actual coupon and discount codes)

Now affiliates, bloggers, you don’t need to have all of them displayed as it can depend on the structure of your site, page or blog but customers are always searching and looking for EverythingFurniture ( or other category or brand or merchant ) deals and they do click on those words with ‘Save‘, ‘10% off‘ and others. So if you have a coupon site you probably already have most of our furniture coupons links, or even all of them on your page as most coupons sites already do, but if you have a data feed site, content site or even a blog you should have at least a few of them displayed too, they will drive traffic, click throughs and maybe even sales.

Furniture For Affiliates and Customers in Canada

Sorry I put that ‘bs’ in there, perhaps not professional but I received a few emails to showcase a few videos for selling stuff online or marketing to affiliates or scams. I don’t have time for those scammers to just want to sell and sell to others. JRami is about consulting to merchants and helping merchants get programs online and manage their affiliate programs. We also work with and help lots of affiliate partners to join our merchant programs and make $, but wanting just to sell and sell and sometimes scam others with how to grow your program or make millions in affiliate marketing in six months is not what we do, never have and never will.
